Moisture from the atmosphere gets absorbed by the electrodes, particularly the ones that show resemblance to low hydrogen powder, which is used for welding. The electrodes need to be dried again if the level of moisture crosses the level recommended for a specific flux model uniformly.

Such re-drying of electrodes needs to be done by up to 200°C for an entire hour. It will help in driving away moisture that gets absorbed in excess from the coating of the flux.
