A high temperature oven is built for processes that run between 300°C and 500°C, such as stress relieving, PTFE and fluoropolymer curing, burn-off, preheating and tempering. At these temperatures the insulation, heater and blower design have to be heavier than in a standard oven to keep heat loss and skin temperature low.

How the High Temperature Oven Works
High-wattage heaters in an insulated plenum heat the air, and a high-temperature blower circulates it through the chamber at high velocity. Heavy insulation and stepped door seals keep heat inside. The main PID controller regulates the temperature, and an independent safety controller switches the heaters off if a fault causes over-heating.

What is the maximum temperature of your high temperature oven?
Our standard high temperature ovens run up to 500°C. For processes above this, a furnace design is usually more economical, and we will advise you.
How is the outer surface kept safe at high temperature?
We use thicker insulation, thermal breaks in the frame and stepped door seals. This keeps the outer skin temperature low enough for safe operation.
Can a high temperature oven be used for lower temperatures too?
Yes. A PID controller can hold any set point from about 50°C up to the maximum, so the same oven can run several processes.
