An electrode holding oven (storage oven) keeps baked or freshly opened low-hydrogen electrodes at a steady holding temperature until they are issued to welders. It keeps SMAW electrodes as dry as they left the factory and protects their hygroscopic flux coating from moisture.
MV International electrode holding ovens have a 300 kg standard capacity, with 20 trays, digital control and a holding range up to 300/400/500°C. They can be used for both baking and holding.
After baking, electrodes are moved to the holding oven and kept at about 100-150°C. Welders draw electrodes from it as needed, usually into portable quivers.
Electrode Holding Oven Technical Specifications
Application
Remove moisture from welding electrodes before use.
As a electrode holding oven manufacturer in India since 1989, MV International designs and builds every unit at our own works in Bahadurgarh, Haryana, close to Delhi NCR. Our engineers size the chamber, heater load and air-flow pattern to your actual load, so the oven reaches 500°C evenly and holds it within a tight band. Every electrode holding oven is assembled, wired and trial-run at our plant before dispatch.

Electrode Holding Oven FAQs
What temperature should electrodes be held at?
Typically 100-150°C for low-hydrogen electrodes, according to the manufacturer.
What is the capacity of the holding oven?
Standard models hold 300 kg on 20 trays, and other sizes can be built.
Can the holding oven also bake electrodes?
Yes. With a range up to 300-500°C, it can be used for both baking and holding.
How much does a Electrode Holding Oven cost?
A electrode holding oven is built to order, so the cost depends on the working size, temperature range, heating method and options such as PLC control or a temperature recorder. Send us your requirement on the enquiry page or call +91-9718290000 for a quick, no-obligation quotation.
Can you supply the Electrode Holding Oven to buyers abroad?
Yes. Along with supplying all over India, we export the electrode holding oven to the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas. Ovens are built for your local power supply and shipped with complete documentation and commissioning support.
