How the Plastic Annealing Oven Works
Parts are loaded on trays and the controller follows a programmed cycle. It ramps up at a set rate, soaks at the annealing temperature for the time needed for the wall thickness, then ramps down slowly. Re-circulated air keeps every part at the same temperature, so stresses relax evenly without distortion.

Why do plastic parts need annealing?
Moulding and machining leave internal stresses in plastic parts. Over time these stresses can cause cracking, warping or size changes, especially when the part is exposed to chemicals or heat. Annealing relieves them.
What temperature is used to anneal plastics?
It depends on the polymer. For example, nylon is often annealed around 150°C and polycarbonate around 120-130°C. Always follow the resin supplier's guidance. Our controllers can be programmed for any profile.
Why is controlled cooling important?
Fast cooling can create new stresses. The oven ramps down slowly at a programmed rate so that the part cools evenly.
